Comparative Analysis on Dielectric Gold and Aluminium Triangular Junctions: Impact of Ionic Strength and Background Electrolyte by pH Variations

Abstract: Field of generating a surface thin film is emerging broadly in sensing applications to obtain the quick and fast results by forming the high-performance sensors. Incorporation of thin film technologies in sensor development for the better sensing could be a promising way to attain the current requirements. This work predominantly delineates the fabrication of the dielectric sensor using two different sensing materials (Gold and Aluminium). conventional photolithography was carried out using silicon as a base m… Show more

“…In order to determine the calcium content in the carapace of the cephalothoraxes of the diseased and healthy shrimps, the carapace of the same location in cephalothoraxes of the diseased and healthy shrimps was fixed in TEM fixative firstly, subsequently subjected to further fixation with 1% osmium tetroxide, then dehydrated, and embedded in Spurr’s resin and prepared ultrathin sections of 50 nm in thickness. The sections were coated with a thin layer of gold-palladium alloy following the previously reported protocols ( Letchumanan et al, 2020 ; Wagner et al, 2020 ), and then examined by using X-Max80 EDS (Oxford Instruments, Oxford, Britain) Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) at 20 KV. The specimen embedded in Spurr’s resin was also coated with a thin layer of gold-palladium and then inspected by using the FESEM to conduct energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) to obtain the data of elemental weight percent (%) in dissociation of the main constituent elements in cephalothorax carapace.…”

“…Most of the electrochemical biosensors are based on nanomaterials to enhance the signal amplification process. Gold nanoparticle, carbon nanotube, zeolite, silica, aluminum, graphene, and metallic oxide are the common nanomaterials used in electrochemical sensors to improve the electric activities and help to identify the various diseases at earlier stages 28,46–49 . Metallic and nonmetallic nano‐ and microparticles have a great potential in biosensor development.…”
