Comparative effect of carotenoid complex from golden neo-life dynamite (GNLD) and carrot ectracted caroteniods on immune parameters in albino wistar rats

Abstract: The immunomodulatory effect of Carotenoid complex from Golden Neo-Life Dynamite (GNLD) and carrot extracted Carotenoid was assessed using 24 albino Wistar rats. The rats were assigned to 4 groups of 6 rats each consisting of group 1(control group treated with distilled water), group 2 (treated with olive oil), group 3 (treated with carrot extract + olive oil) and group 4 (treated with GNLD Carotenoid complex + olive oil). The concentration of carrot extracted Carotenoid and that of the GNLD Carotenoid complex … Show more

“…Algal biomass accumulation is very quick, and the whole of the biomass can be used for vaccine production. Green microalgae such as Chlamydomonas reinhardtii as a feasible alternative for vaccine generation [78]. Notwithstanding, a few impediments of plant-derived vaccines, for example, low-expression levels and unsuitable glycosylation of antigen proteins, have been depicted.…”

“…Therefore, as officially portrayed for plantinferred palatable immunizations, the ease and less difficult strategic as far as assembling, stockpiling, conveyance, and organization of the green growth-based innovation make it a perfect framework with regards to asset-restricted settings contrasted with traditional antibody details [82]. There are algae-based vaccines right now in clinical trials; be that as it may, preclinical details against human papillomavirus (HPV), HBV, and foot-and-mouth ailment infection (FMDV) are a work in progress to defeat some specialized issues like low-expression level from the atomic genome and absence of glycosylation following chloroplast expression [78,83]. Research to date show that algae such as Chlamydomonas can produce complex antigens that can stimulate immunogenic responses and are suitable to be developed as vaccines [78].…”

“…Carrots, along with A. thaliana, were also utilized in experimental edible vaccines for surface HIV antigen expression, and studies performed in rats showed more positive effects in treated animals compared to non-treated animals [81]. The utilization of carrots to treat HIV appears promising not only because carrots are healthy and delicious but also because the consumption of carrot-derived carotenoids increases lymphocytes, monocytes and other immune defenders in rats [127]. Thus, people with weakened immune systems might benefit from consuming this potentially edible anti-HIV vaccine.…”
