“…Literature search revealed five RCTs on use of LLLT as diode laser for treatment of OLP. Amongst these, four RCTs compared response of LLLT with topical steroid (Jajarm et al , ; Dillenburg et al , ; El Shenawy and Eldin, ; Kazancioglu and Erisen, ) and one with CO 2 laser (Agha‐Hosseini et al , ). From the trials comparing LLLT with steroids, it was seen that LLLT was inferior in response to topical steroids such as dexamethasone and triamcinolone but superior to 0.05% clobetasol in erosive and atrophic OLP (Dillenburg et al , ).…”
