“…A total of 2 mL of a 0.5 mg/mL solution of 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2, 5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT, Invitrogen, Eugene, OR, USA) was added to the biofilms, followed by incubation in the absence of light at 37 °C for 3 h. Then, the reagent was removed from the wells and 1 mL of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO, NEON, Suzano, SP, Brazil) was pipetted into the biofilms, followed by homogenization.
