Comparative Study of Continuous and Interrupted Sutures in Cataract Surgery in Eye Camps

Abstract: In a comparative study performed to evaluate continuous and interrupted corneoscleral sutures under special conditions of eye operation camps, we performed 86 cataract extractions under local anaesthesia. Ab interno corneoscleral incisions were closed with 8/0 virgin silk suture material by three interrupted sutures in 42 cases and by five-bite continuous sutures in 44 cases.
