“…[ 11 ] The CALAJECT® system (Rønvig Dental MFG, Daugaard, Denmark) is an innovative painless anesthesia instrument recently introduced with 3 distinct modes: the first mode involves slow administration; the second mode combines 10 seconds of slow administration followed by rapid administration; and the third mode ensures faster and more effective supplementary anesthesia. [ 12 ] The findings of a comparative study on the efficacy of single tooth anesthesia and CALAJECT in achieving painless anesthesia in pediatric patients suggest that both techniques warrant further investigation for their potential application in periodontal ligament injection. [ 13 ] The continued effect of local anesthesia on soft tissue in children has also been a matter of particular concern, because even after the completion of dental treatment, the effect still exists in the form of tongue and lip numbness.…”

“…Then, with the emergence of this technique, studies were developed with different systems, with the objective of comparatively evaluating this technology with the conventional method, with the presence of controversial results, some favorable to the use of this technique (Allen et al, 2002;Baghlaf et al, 2015;Berrendero et al, 2021;Deepak et al, 2017;Feda et al, 2010;Garret-Bernardin et al, 2017;Langthasa et al, 2012;Palm et al, 2004;Shetty et al, 2022) and others that do not present a significant difference between the two techniques (Amoudi et al, 2008;Asarch et al, 1999;Kandiah & Tahmassebi, 2012;Queiroz et al, 2015;Tahmassebi et al, 2009).…”
