Abstract:In the changing internal and external conditions, maintenance of a constant internal environment – homeostasis – plays a significant role in the proper functioning of the organism. Kidneys play a key role in the homeostasis of glucose, in which the sodium-dependent glucose co-transporters contribute to renal glucose reabsorption.
