Abstract:The present study was carried out to evaluate and compare anti- carrageenan induced rat paw edema was adopted for the study of anti-inflammatory activity where adult Wistar albino rats (110-160)gm of either sex were selected for study. Adult rats were divided into 10 groups, carrageenan was injected in hind paw and treated with extract at the standard dose of 200 mg/kg and 400mg/kg.
