Abstract:Stable isotope probing (SIP) experiments in conjunction with Raman microspectroscopy (Raman) or nano-scale secondary ion mass spectrometry (NanoSIMS) are frequently used to explore single cell resolved metabolic activity in pure cultures as well as complex microbiomes.
