Comparing the Time-Consumption of Destructive and Non-Destructive Forms of Measurement in the Automotive Industry

Abstract

The article presents a comparison of the time-consumption of destructive and non-destructive forms of measurement in the automotive industry. X-ray, CT control system Y. Cougar SMT which allow non-destructive measurement, and CMM -Vertex 311 UM, in which the measured dimensions are not always accessible and therefore cannot be measured without destructive intervention.The aim of the experiment was to compare, on a representative piece, the approximate time consumption of measurements on individual measuring machines. The results of this experiment were a useful basis for selecting an effective form of measurement in terms of time consumption on the above machines.
