Abstract:Background: Deep vein thrombosis is a blood clot that occurs in the deep veins. Fifty percent of patients with deep vein thrombosis do not show clinical symptoms. The incidence of deep vein thrombosis in colorectal cancer patients is higher than in other cancer patients. Several scoring system models, such as Wells’ criteria and Khorana score, were developed to help diagnose deep vein thrombosis .
