Abstract:Background
Mannitol is frequently utilized to achieve intracranial brain relaxation during the retrosigmoid approach for auditory brainstem implantation (ABI). Hypertonic saline (HS) is an alternative for reducing intracranial pressure; however, its application during ABI surgery remains under-investigated.
