Abstract:We consider a second-order differential equation that describes the behavior of the "boundary function" -the zeroth-order boundary function of the asymptotic boundary function method. The dual operator formalism is applied to this equation. The result is an approximate solution of the problem that satisfies the boundary conditions on both boundaries. The boundary function obtained in this way is compared with the results of numerical solution of the exact differential equation.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
