This mixed research aimed to determine if, in their initial training, teaching students consider Scratch and Storybird, digital storytelling applications, as contributing to promoting originality after an intervention in which they previously experimented with them. It was studied whether they considered it convenient to encourage children’s creativity by combining them to create stories in Spanish and English (as EFL) and then having the teacher adapt these two applications. The participants included 134 university students, teachers in initial training at Huelva’s Campus in Spain. The quantitative results as a whole showed significant differences regarding the different dimensions of originality analysed. In the qualitative ones, it was recognised that these apps encourage cognitive development, creativity, learning, communicative competence, and learning attitude, recognising the apps as didactic tools. When cross-examining the data, it was deduced that the digital storytelling applications preferably provide the benefits of encouraging, in a specific way, originality, imagination, and the production of stories in a multimodal manner. Thus, the emerging variables are cognitive.

A Systematic Review of the Intelligent Digital Storytelling Process in Disseminating Health Information

Digital storytelling is a new concept in education that involves creating meaning. It is a tool with great potential, but in Thailand, it is currently not very popular in terms of sharing stories about disease. This review analyzes the components and processes of intelligent digital storytelling to aid the development of an intelligent digital storytelling platform for disseminating health information. Based on the synthesis of relevant documents, the research process involves 9 main steps: 1) identifying the review objectives, 2) reviewing research questions, 3) determining inclusion criteria, 4) finding relevant studies, 5) selecting documents, 6) data extraction, 7) arriving at a conclusion, 8) document synthesis and 9) discussion of the results. A study of articles from the PRISMA Checklist published between 2017 and 2022 revealed that ultimately only 47 articles met the inclusion criteria. From the analysis of the data, it was found that there are four main elements and 16 sub-components of intelligent digital storytelling. There are 12 steps in the process of intelligent digital storytelling with regard to health information dissemination. The optimal length of an intelligent digital narrative video clip relating to health information dissemination is approximately 2-5 minutes when it comes to achieving the best knowledge of health information.

Objetivo: Identificar as estratégias didáticas para o ensino de eletrocardiograma aos estudantes de curso de graduação em enfermagem Método: revisão integrativa de estudos atemporais publicados, na base de dados MEDLINE, Lilacs, Embase, Scopus, Cinahl e Web of Science. Realizou-se a busca em junho de 2022, utilizando-se descritores controlados contemplados nos Descritores em Ciências da Saúde. A análise foi construída a partir dos processos desta revisão. Resultados: caracterizaram-se 13 artigos originais quanto ao periódico, ano de publicação, delineamento metodológico, que foram categorizados em três grupos: 1-metodologia de ensino da interpretação do eletrocardiograma, 2-método de ensino da realização do eletrocardiograma e 3-desenvolvimento de material didático para ensino da interpretação do eletrocardiograma. Conclusão: considera-se que diante da complexidade do eletrocardiograma, o seu ensino deve envolver estratégias para promover qualificação do estudante visando à formação de profissionais capacitados na interpretação do eletrocardiograma. Suscita-se a necessidade de discutir e refletir sobre os modos de ensinar e aprender a interpretação do eletrocardiograma nos cursos de enfermagem.
