Abstract:The contribution deals with numerical simulations of the laminar/turbulent transition in two-dimensional flows at relatively low free-stream turbulence by means of two transition models - the algebraic transition model coupled with the EARSM turbulence model and the three-equation k-kL-ωmodel. Further, the relation between the free-stream turbulence and the maximum amplification factor necessary for the use of the eN method was adjusted using the XFOIL code. The both modified transition models were verified by… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
