Abstract:The current study compares two vacuum system designs for the Iranian Light Source Facility (ILSF) storage ring: conventional vacuum system design with stainless-steel vacuum chambers that are pumped by Non-Evaporable Getter (NEG) cartridges and ion pumps. In this design, all synchrotron radiation is absorbed by the local photon absorbers.
