Complete bilateral blindness associated with ruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm: A literature review and illustrative case

Abstract: Background: Anterior communicating artery (AcomA) aneurysms are considered one of the most common intracranial aneurysms, contributing to approximately 40% of the subarachnoid hemorrhages related to aneurysmal rupture. Aneurysms of the anterior circulation are commonly present with visual defects varying in their nature according to the aneurysmal site.
