Abstract:A highly active in situ derived ruthenium catalyst (in-Ru) promotes the selective and complete conversion of methanol to hydrogen gas and formate at a low temperature (130 °C). The catalyst demonstrated excellent long-term stability during recyclability (producing 783 L of H 2 /g of Ru in 110 h) and bulk-scale experiments (producing 502 L of H 2 /g of Ru in 120 h), highlighting the practical applicability of the developed catalytic system for H 2 production from methanol.
