Abstract:A novel lytic Clostridium perfringens phage, named vB_CP_qdyz_P5, was isolated and characterized in this study. Genome analysis revealed that vB_CP_qdyz_P5 has a linear double-stand DNA of 18888 bp with a G+C content of 28.8%. There were 27 opening reading frames in its genome. Moreover, vB_CP_qdyz_P5 showed good temperature (below 70℃) and pH (4 to 12) stabilities as well as a very strong lysis ability with a high burst size(207pfu/cell).
