Abstract:The high selectivities of FA (Sel. 99.9% for Pd1Cu9) and THFA (Sel. 96.2% for Pd1Ni3) were obtained under mild reaction conditions in environmentally benign micellar catalytic systems.
“…Furfural and 5-HMF are recognized as key platform molecules that can serve as raw materials for the synthesis of value-added derivatives. 152–154 The tetrahedrally coordinated heteroatom LAS sites can adsorb both reactant and hydrogen donor simultaneously, which enables the hydrogen transfer reaction. The bifunctional catalysts containing both LASs and BASs can catalyze the multistep reactions such as the one-pot conversion of furfural to GVL.…”

Heteroatom (such as Ti, Sn, Zr, Hf and others) Lewis acid zeolites contain Lewis acid site (LAS) centers with tetrahedral coordination confined in micropores of zeolites with varied pore topology,...

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
