“…ALT flap thickness was also studied by Set et al using computed tomographic angiograms in 98 patients, taking BMI, gender, and ethnicity into consideration (Seth et al, 2011). They encountered values ranging from 9.9 ± 5.1 to 19.9 ± 11.3 mm, depending on gender and BMI, which shows reasonable agreement with the findings presented here.…”

“…Available reports have evaluated the thickness of some free flaps using ultrasonography as a non-invasive method (Salmi et al, 1995;Nakayama et al, 2002;Sieg et al, 2003) or computed tomography (Seth et al, 2011).…”

“…The incidence of MC and SC perforators in different studies from the various region[8111213141516] of the world varies from 51-90% to 10-49% respectively [Table 5]. The MC and SC perforators in our study are 61.8% and 38.2%.…”

“…4 These perforators originate from the LCFA, which has a variable anatomic origin from the femoral artery 7 ( Figure 2). Most frequently, the LCFA originates directly from the deep femoral artery and second most frequently from the common femoral artery (10-25%) or even more proximally from the external iliac artery (6%).…”
