Comprehensive characterization of multiple components ofZiziphus jujuba MillusingUHPLC‐Q‐ExactiveOrbitrap Mass Spectrometers

Abstract: Ziziphus jujuba Mill is the dried ripe fruit of the Rhamnaceae family; it is widely distributed in Shandong, Henan, Liaoning, and other places in China. In folk medicine, it was used to restore vital energy, as a blood tonic, and for the treatment of spleen deficiency. To date, a complete investigation of the compounds of Z. jujuba has rarely been performed. Therefore, a reliable strategy based on UHPLC‐Q‐Exactive Orbitrap MS, combined with trace data acquisition mode (parallel reaction monitoring scanning, PR… Show more

“…However, the characteristic fragment ions at m / z 151.0028 and 119.0492 indicated that they possessed a naringenin group. Therefore, they were tentatively identified as being naringenin 7-O-glucoside isomers [ 5 ]. Likewise, compounds 22 , 26 , 40 , 47 , and 72 were tentatively proposed as being naringenin 4`-O-glucoside 7-O-rutinoside isomers, and compounds 65 , 76 , and 113 were tentatively identified as being narirutin isomers [ 14 ].…”

“…It is necessary to compare the metabolism of DZP in normal and cerebral ischemia model rats in order to gain a better understanding of DZP metabolism in these rats. In recent years, high-resolution mass spectrometry has become a powerful and reliable analytical technique for metabolite identification due to its excellent accurate mass measurement, sensitivity, and high resolution [ [15] , [16] , [17] ]. In this study, ultra-high performance liquid chromatography/quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS) was used to investigate the metabolic profile of DZP in normal and middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model rat brain samples and compare the differences between normal and cerebral ischemia pathological state.…”
