Abstract:The laser modification of silicon-nanoparticle layers with a nanosecond pulsed excimer laser leads to the self-organized formation of crystalline, μ-cone-shaped silicon structures with good electronic properties, which have allowed the demonstration of their potential for printed flexible electronics. With the current nanosecond laser process, silicon exhibits only short melting times, resulting in a method-defined substrate contact angle, instead of this parameter being defined by the substrate surface energy… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
