Concurrent modulation and transmission of microwave signal using frequency modulation of laser diode and transmission through dispersive optical fiber

Abstract: A new fiber-optic microwave transmission scheme which enables concurrent phase modulation and transmission is proposed. A 14OMbps DBPSK modulation and transmission over lOOkm of single mode fiber is demonstrated at 1550nm wavelength.
