Abstract: Glaucoma is a group of diseases where increased intraocular pressure (IOP) causes progressive damage to the optic nerve and extensive loss of retinal ganglion cell bodies leading to vision loss. 1,2 Secondary glaucoma accounts for 95%-98% of cases in domestic cats. 1,3 Primary glaucoma has been reported in Siamese, European short-haired, Burmese, and Domestic short-haired breeds.
