“…Aliquots of about 10 mg of homogenized soil were digested, by means of a mixture of 3 ml of aqua regia (1:3 HCl: HNO 3 ), 5 ml of ultrapure water, and 0.5 ml of 48% hydrofluoric acid (HF) solution, in a sealed PFA vessel using an Ethos 1600 microwave oven (Milestone). After the digestion, 1 ml of a saturated B(OH) 3 solution was added to each sample to neutralize the remaining HF (Calgaro et al, 2019). “…They were able to determine the maximum amount of dredged cement that can be used before the mortar started to lose its self-compacting properties. Sediments from the Mincio River (Italy) containing hydrocarbons and Hg were subjected to thermal desorption and wet conditioning (Calgaro et al, 2019).
