Consider Brackish Groundwater Supplies for Desalination

Abstract: Brackish groundwater sources suitable for desalination are often present in regions where freshwater is scarce. Brackish groundwater requires less energy and pretreatment to desalinate than seawater, making it a water source worth considering in certain situations.
