Abstract:Obesity ravages the central trunk. Recent advances in plastic surgery techniques after massive weight loss have demonstrated the benefit and necessity of treating the trunk as one aesthetic unit for the best possible result. This article discusses current treatment options, terms associated with correction of truncal deformities, expected surgical outcomes, patient selection, preoperative preparation, and potential complications.
