Contribution à la phytochimie du genre Gentiana XXI; Les cinnamoyl‐C‐glucosylflavones et leurs O‐glucosides dans Gentiana punctataL.

Abstract: DCdie au Professeur Y. R. Naves h l'occasion de son 75e anniversaire (25.VII.77) Phytochemistry of genus Gentiana XXI: The cinnamoyl-C-glucosylflavones and their O-glucosides in Gentiana punctata L. SummaryThree new (1-3) and three previously identified (4-6) cinnamoyl-C-glucosylflavones have been isolated from the leaves of Gentiana punctata L. The structures of the new compounds were established as: trans-cafeoyl-2"-iso-orientin-4'-O-~-~glucoside (I), trans-feruloy~-2"-isovitexin-4'-O-~-~-glucoside (2) and t… Show more

“…Two compounds, 65 and 73, gave a similar MS pattern but the existence of a hypsochromic shift in band II of the UV spectra (λ max 348→328 nm) and increased retention times pointed to acylation of luteolin- C -hexoside- O -hexoside by a caffeic acid fragment [56]. Despite the relatively rare occurrence of luteolin- C -hexoside- O -hexoside- O -caffeates in plants, there are two known compounds isolated from the gentians, i.e., isoorientin-4′- O -glucoside-2″- O -caffeate from G. punctata leaves [59] and isoorientin-2″- O -(4″- O -glucosyl)-caffeate from G. marcailhouana leaves [60]. Compound 66 from G. asclepiadea , G. paradoxa , and G. pneumonanthe herbs was tentatively identified as luteolin- C -hexoside- O -hexoside- O - p -hydroxybenzoate.…”
