Control Circuitry for Remotely Operated Electric Utility Substations [includes discussion]

Abstract: commutator segments and zero brush width. It is clear from Dr. Burtness' paper that the true nature of the problem does not appear under these assumptions. This paper emphasized once more the value of matrix algebra as a tool in the study of systems of linear equations. This simple tool can and should be given to the sophomore student in electrical engineering when he is first introduced to systems of linear equations in the study of network theory.
