Abstract:In dispersed acini from dog pancreas, exogenous derivatives of cAMP stimulated the amylase release; 8-Br-cAMP was a more potent stimulant than Bt2-cAMP, and induced a potentiation of the amylase release stimulated by cerulein. Both secretin and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), increased cellular cAMP, with a greater potency for secretin, and supra-maximal concentration of secretin plus VIP increased cellular cAMP to the same degree as that obtained with secretin alone. 125I-VIP-bindin… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
