Controllable diffraction of Gaussian beams with initial cross phase in nonlocal nonlinear media

Abstract: An exact Gaussian beam solution with initial cross phase in nonlocal nonlinear media is presented in the strongly nonlocal limit. It is found that both the diffraction properties and the ellipticity of Gaussian beams closely depend on the cross-phase-front curvature. Because of the experimental controllability of the cross-phase-front curvature, the theoretical results pave the way to beam shaping in experiments.
