Abstract:Starting from a low-energy effective Hamiltonian model, we theoretically calculate the dynamical optical conductivity and permittivity tensor of a magnetized graphene layer with Rashba spin orbit coupling (SOC). Our results reveal a transverse Hall conductivity correlated with the usual nonreciprocal longitudinal conductivity. Further analysis illustrates that for intermediate magnetization strengths, the relative magnitudes of the magnetization and SOC can be identified experimentally by two well-separated pe… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
