Researchers have used some anhydrous aluminoborate as the host lattices for phosphors, among them, such as M 2 Al 2 B 2 O 7 (M = alkali metals), Al 18 B 4 O 33 , and MAl 3 (BO 3 ) 4 (M = Y, Gd) and so on, which were activated by trivalent rare‐earth ions, such as the Eu 3+ has been used as activator concentration in visible luminescent materials, because of its strong red emissions, which as one of the most important luminescent centers. The pure red phosphor of Al 5 BO 9 :Eu 3+ was prepared by thermal conversion method at 1300 °C, using the sample of the K 2 [Al(B 5 O 10 )]∙4H 2 O:Eu 3+ as the precursor, and the sample of the K 2 [Al(B 5 O 10 )]∙4H 2 O:Eu 3+ is amorphous .…”
