Abstract:The paper presents a numerical method for identifying discontinuous conductivities in elliptic equations from boundary observations. The solutions to this inverse problem are obtained through a constrained optimization problem, where the cost functional is a combination of the Kohn-Vogelius and Total Variation functionals. Instead of regularizing the Total Variation stabilization functional, which is commonly used in the literature, we introduce an Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers to preserve the fa… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
