Abstract: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common respiratory condition that involves persistent respiratory symptoms and airflow limitation. Several studies have shown increased prevalence of psychiatric illness (PI) in patients with COPD; however, prevalence rates vary widely.
