Abstract:Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor (IP 3 R) is a ubiquitous intracellular calcium (Ca 2z ) channel which has a major role in controlling Ca 2z levels in neurons. A variety of computational models have been developed to describe the kinetic function of IP 3 R under different conditions. In the field of computational neuroscience, it is of great interest to apply the existing models of IP 3 R when modeling local Ca 2z transients in dendrites or overall Ca 2z dynamics in large neuronal models. The goal of this… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
