Correlation between Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Findings with Histological Grading of Patients with Supratentorial Diffusely Infiltrating Astrocytomas

Abstract: Data regarding the impact of MRI for diagnosis and staging of brain tumors in our population is sparse. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of MRI in preoperative diagnosis of primary intra-axial brain tumors and to determine its diagnostic accuracy in grading of gliomas in our population, correlated with histopathological (hematoxylin & eosin stain) findings taking as gold standard.
