Abstract: Background and purposeSudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) is a neurological and otolaryngological emergency during which rapid diagnosis and early treatment are of great importance. Clinical experience indicates that a considerable number of patients with SSNHL have concurrent right-to-left shunt (RLS).
