“…The elastic modulus of the cyanoacrylate glue (≈140 kPa) was statistically significantly higher than that in all other tested groups, while that of fibrin gel lowest among the tested glues (≈40 kPa). These results showed that star‐PCL‐NHS glues provide a range of adhesive strengths that are significantly stronger than fibrin and other bioadhesive systems, and have up to 50% of the adhesive strength of cyanoacrylate . The data illustrate the high potential of the 13 kDa star‐PCL‐NHS for tissue adhesion: its melting temperature, ≈45 °C, is sufficiently above the body temperature, it solidifies when cooled to body temperature, and it possesses elasticity and adhesion properties.…”
