Cosmology from induced matter model applied to 5D f(R,T) theory

Extended f(R) theories of gravity have been investigated from the symmetry point of view. We briefly has been investigated Noether symmetry of two types of extended f(R) theories: f(R, T) theory, in which curvature is coupled non-minimally to the trace of energy–momentum tensor Tμν and mimetic f(R) gravity, a theory with a scalar field degree of freedom, but ghost-free and with internal conformal symmetry. In both cases we write point-like Lagrangian for flat Friedmann–Lemaitre–Robertson–Walker (FLRW) cosmological background in the presence of ordinary matter. We have been shown that some classes of models existed with Noether symmetry in these viable extensions of f(R) gravity. As a motivated idea, we have been investigating the stability of the solutions and the bouncing and ΛCDM models using the Noether symmetries. We have been shown that in mimetic f(R) gravity bouncing and ΛCDM solutions are possible. Also a class of solutions with future singularities has been investigated.

Recent elaborated by Harko et al., the f (R, T ) theories of gravity allow one to contemplate an optimistic alternative to dark energy, for which R and T stand for the Ricci scalar and the trace of the energy-momentum tensor, respectively. Although the literature has shown that the T dependence on the gravitational part of the action -which is due to the consideration of quantum effects -may induce some novel features in the scope of late-time cosmological dynamics, in the radiation-dominated universe, when T = 0, no contributions seem to arise from such theories. Apparently, f (R, T ) contributions to a radiation-dominated universe may arise only from the f (R, T φ ) approach, which is nothing but the f (R, T ) gravity in the case of a selfinteracting scalar field whose trace of the energy-momentum tensor is T φ . We intend, in this article, to show how f (R, T φ ) theories of gravity can contribute to the study of the primordial stages of the universe. Our results predict a graceful exit from an inflationary stage to a radiation-dominated era. They also predict a late-time cosmic acceleration after a matter-dominated phase, enabling the f (R, T φ ) theories to describe, in a self-consistent way, all the different stages of the dynamics of the universe.

In this paper, we will examine the problem of violation of causality in f (R, T ) modified gravity, where R is the Ricci scalar and T is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor T µν . We investigate the causality problem in two special cases, in the first we consider the matter content of the universe as a perfect fluid and in the second case, the matter content is a perfect fluid plus a scalar field.
