Abstract:Background
It has been shown that dialysate cooling (lowering the dialysate temperature to 0.5 °C below central body temperature) reduces the incidence of intradialytic hypotension. Other influences on hemodialysis patients, however, have not been adequately investigated. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of individualized dialysate cooling on nutritional and inflammatory parameters in chronic hemodialysis (HD) patients.
