Cover Feature: Zeolitic‐Imidazolate Framework Derived Intermetallic Nickel Zinc Carbide Material as a Selective Catalyst for CO2 to CO Reduction at High Pressure (Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. 44/2021)
Abstract:The Cover Feature shows the catalyst production process starting from a mixture of zeolitic imidazolate framework‐8 (ZIF‐8) and Ni2+ precursor, which is then pyrolyzed to yield the intermetallic Ni3ZnC catalyst. This intermetallic compound catalyzes the selective hydrogenation of CO2 into CO via the reverse water gas shift reaction pathway, while the most common methanation reaction pathway is suppressed, even at high pressure. The gain in selectivity is represented by the catalyst's being able to move the rai… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
