Abstract:We investigate CP violating 2 Higgs doublet models as an effective theory emerging from models with an SU (3) L ⊗ U (1) X gauge symmetry. Because of the extension of the electroweak symmetry, a characteristic structure of Yukawa interactions appears with new CP violating phases at the electroweak scale. In this scenario, the charged Higgs boson loop provides dominant and sizable contributions to the neutron electric dipole moment (nEDM) at one-loop level. We find that the prediction of the nEDM can be slightly… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
