CPW-Fed Miniaturized Isosceles Triangular Slot Uwb Planar Antenna With Triple Band-Notched Characteristics

Abstract: In this paper, a compact triangular defected ground plane monopole antenna with 5G, WLAN, and downlink/uplink of X-band notched characteristics for UWB applications is presented. The initial design consists of a CPW rectangle-shaped patch with a triangular, slotted ground plane to obtain ultra-wideband feature. The 3.3-3.7 GHz for the 5G band is eliminated by inserting dual symmetrical Tshaped slots at the upper edge of the ground plane. Further, a metamaterial as dual symmetrical single split ring resonator s… Show more

“…In [9][10][11], two notched bands can be achieved use two or three single-mode resonators, however, these circuits are relatively large. In [12,13], three notched bands can be introduced using defected ground structure (DGS), however, they are all based on multi-layer structure that would increase fabrication cost and hardly compatible with the existing microwave-integrated circuit. What is more, they cannot reject unwanted four band interfering signals.…”
