Abstract:Background
Cellular retinoic acid binding protein 1 (CRABP1) mediates rapid, non-canonical activity of retinoic acid (RA) by forming signalosomes via protein-protein interactions. Two signalosomes have been identified previously: CRABP1-MAPK and CRABP1-CaMKII. Crabp1 knockout (CKO) mice exhibited altered exosome profiles, but the mechanism of CRABP1 action was unclear. This study aimed to screen for and identify novel CRABP1 signalosomes that could modulate exosome secretion by using a combinat… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
