Abstract

This dissertation develops a reflexive critical analysis of incremental development strategies and examines whether they allow for collective action. The central dissertation question is formulated as follows: How do purposive actions in incremental development strategies relate to institutions? Five dissertation research questions 9 underlie this central question:1. How are incremental strategies applied to urban development projects?
