Criminology

Abstract: Criminology is the scientific study of crime and criminal behavior. It encompasses criminal law, the measurement of crime, theories of criminal offending, types of offenders, and society's responses to offenders. Criminology is an interdisciplinary field, drawing from many disciplines including psychology, psychiatry, sociology, biology, public health, law, political science, criminal justice, economics, and geography.
