Governance is a decisive factor in every nation's progress. It is necessary to have good governance to develop a wealthy nation in which the well-being of the citizens takes precedence. The legitimacy of a government can be called into question based on the criteria established by each evolving era of human civilization to define good governance. Sustainable development emphasizes addressing present demands without jeopardizing future generations' ability to do so. In addition, there are 17 Sustainable Development Goals that the international community has agreed must be met by 2030. Goal 16 allows for establishing institutions and systems for good governance, emphasizing the significance of good governance in attaining sustainable development. As India is also aiming towards achieving sustainable development for which it becomes necessary to understand the contrivance and the processes followed by the Indian Government in accomplishing such an aspiring goal, that will enlighten us to know that whether governance in India has been as per the new notions of good governance or not. This paper aims to investigate the impact of great governance on India's sustainable development. "Good Governance" is an essential element. This paper will focus on aspects that must be strengthened for improved governance to maximize potential and expand partnerships for achieving Sustainable Development Goals in India. In addition, it will attempt to make suggestions and recommendations that could encourage coordinated efforts toward achieving the SDGs.

Good governance plays a key role in the growth and success of organizations and helps them to achieve their strategic goals. A review of the research literature shows that the term good governance is mostly used in relation to governments, and there is no proper understanding of the role of good governance in non-governmental organizations. Due to the significant growth of project-oriented organizations, there is a gap in the literature to explain the position of good governance in project-based organizations. For this reason, there is no good understanding of the term good governance and its application in project-based organizations. The purpose of this study is to identify and prioritize the criteria of good governance in Iranian project-based organizations. To this end, a hybrid approach based on meta-synthesis, thematic analysis, and multi-criteria decision-making methods was used to identify and prioritize good governance criteria in project-based organizations. In the first phase, using the meta-synthesis method, an extensive review of the good governance literature from 2012 to 2020 was conducted and different criteria of good governance were extracted. In the second phase, the thematic analysis method was used to identify good governance criteria through interviews with 10 experts active in project-based organizations. In the third phase, the best-worst method (BWM) method was used to weigh and prioritize the good governance criteria. The results of data analysis indicated that accountability is the most important criterion, and the planning to respond to risks and uncertainties is the most important sub-criterion of the research. Finally, some managerial implications for managers of project-based organizations and some future research directions were provided.

The aim of the paper is to offer project governance from a unique urban viewpoint that connects corporate, project, and urban governance by analysing a case study to understand how different internal project governance mechanisms can influence corporate and urban governance. The research examines the theoretical basis to determine the theoretical framework and empirical data about the impact of project governance. Then, conclusions are reached, and new research areas are suggested. The findings of the research indicate that no governance considerations have been made during the pre-planning stages of urban projects, and empirical evidence does not always go with the theoretical background. Further research is therefore required to elucidate this relationship. Thus, the article updates the state of the art on governance performance for empirical study by generalizing it across other projects to derive more conclusions that are accurate and adapt to contemporary circumstances.
