Abstract:The ring‐rearrangement of 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to 3‐hydroxymethylcyclopentanone (HCPN) was investigated over Ni catalysts supported on different carbon supports and metallic oxides with different structure and acid‐base properties.
